Match Boards

Match Boards organise predictions by competition. There are four types:

• League boards — domestic league competitions
• World Cup boards — FIFA World Cup editions
• Continental boards — UEFA Euro, Copa América, AFC Asian Cup, and more
• Custom boards — private competitions created by players or communities

Standard boards (League, World Cup, Continental) join automatically — a player appears on the board the moment their first prediction for that competition is scored. Custom boards are joined with a 6-character code or invitation link, and support both public and invite-only access.

Match Board Rating (MBR)

MBR is footcaster's skill scoring system:

• Cumulative — MBR accumulates across every prediction you make
• Permanent — no seasonal resets; your entire history counts
• Truncated to one decimal place, never rounded
• Tiebreakers based on earliest prediction time, rewarding players who predict earlier

Player profiles

Every footcaster player has a unique 6-character TAG (for example, ABC123). Player profiles are publicly accessible at footcaster.com/player/{TAG} and display the player's MBR rating, prediction history, nationality flag, and competition participation.
